About

McKenzie Blue is an Autistic Singer-Songwriter from Los Angeles, California. After she first performed onstage at eleven at a talent show at her elementary school (For those of you wondering, she sang “You Give Love A Bad Name” by Bon Jovi), she fell in love with being in the spotlight. Which led to her starting theater at twelve and continuing to perform full time in plays, recitals, and full length musicals until she was nineteen. However, personal issues (besides COVID), she had to take a temporary break. Now, McKenzie Blue is ready to return. She has been songwriting since she was sixteen, her first finished song being her second single, “Look at the Stars” as well as her debut album, "Here Lies the Girl She Used To Be", which will be released during Summer 2025.

FAQ

Q: Are you really autistic?

A: Yes.

Q: Like, actually autistic? Like my co-worker's aunt's deceased best friend's nephew's six year old third cousin?

A: YES! Though we may be affected by Autism differently, both of our experience's with it are valid! I highly encourage you to check out some influencers who are autistic if you're interested! Some of my favs are @Reberrabon_bon, @autistic.thought, @saranne_wrap, @autist_kitty, @emhahee, @autisticpositivity, @thespecialinterestpod, @digitalstemcell, and @conductor_jackson (on Instagram).

Q: I remember you from theater, why'd you stop?

A: Listen to my music to find out.

Q: So what is this “Trilogy Album” thing you're planning to release?

A: Excellent question! I have an amazing life story to tell but I can't fit it all under one album, it would almost be impossible. Within the next few years (depending how busy I am outside of music), I'll be releasing three separate albums based on three different eras of my life: Inner Child, Inner Teen, and the Present Self. The first album, which will be released during the Summer of 2025 (no specifics yet unfortunately), is focused on the Inner Teen, what life she lived through, and why the Present Self “killed her off” in the first place.

Q: Why should we listen to your music?

A: Because I have a chance to take you on this journey of healing from a traumatizing past with me.  By having you join me on this healing journey through music, you're won't just be passively listening (although you honestly could if you wanted to), you'll be starting your own healing journey too. One that is sacred and important to you. Every song that I write is 100% authentically written, produced, and sung by me (unless there's a feature artist singing with me) and they serve as a reminder that you are NEVER alone and as long as you're with me, we can get through this. Will it be difficult to get through? No, not every song but a few. I know how hard it is to sit and process those feelings that may be triggering to some but that's such an important step while starting this quest and you must remember that you are safe throughout all of it. Now, is my music going to be perfect? Absolutely not. If it was, that means I got the money to have someone else produce my music. My story is worth listening to and I am the exception for being heard! Also, what do you have to lose? It wouldn't hurt to listen to a different artist for the first time. You also get diversity points for having me on your Spotify playlist.

Q: How can we contact you for inquiries, questions, features, or if we just wanna say hi?

A: I have a contact button at the bottom of this website. Just add your email, type whatever you may want to tell me, and I'll be more than happy to reply to your message.

Q: How we can support you as an artist?

A: Listen to my music on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music platforms, follow me on social media, like and share my content, and there's also a donate button below this FAQ. Though it's NEVER a requirement in order for you to be my fan, it's very much appreciated and I am grateful for it.
